Il punto
Dopo un'ora di gara si erano percorsi piu' di 51 chilometri, era chiaro che non sarebbe stata una tappa di trasferimento. Nel suo micidiale sviluppo e impostazione, la competizione ha premiato un atleta trentino della Val di Non conterraneo Maurizio Fondriest, Gianluca Leonardi della Marchiol, il quale assieme al gruppo di venti scatenati ha dato il la' ad una tappa lottata a denti stretti sul filo dei cinquanta orari di media per tutti 169 km del tracciato.
Certamente l'ancora ventenne portacolori della formazione veneta, nell'intelligente iniziativa portata ai meno quattro dalla fine, era spettacolare a guardarlo spingere, pulito nell'azione fluida, il longilineo atleta trentino dava il segno della completezza di condizione. Ed era inutile voltarsi a guardare la reazione tardiva di Andrea Di Corrado comunque potente. Cosi' Leonardi, come si deve ad un mattatore e' stato accolto tra gli applausi.
Pensare che questa partita, senza la esclusa formazione della Lucchini Unidelta compreso il leader Omar Lombardi, poteva anche presentarsi nell'incognita di un percorso che difficilmente poteva ricaricare di interesse la corsa dopo la burrascosa notizia calata sulla carovana. Per cui sono degni di citazione gli attaccanti che hanno dato smalto alla tappa poco prima di meta' gara: Robingzon, Boaro, Graziato, Busato, Lupori, Leonardi, Sbaragli, Manarelli, Rowsell, Mantovani, Maggiore, Bonomi, Prodigioso, Torri, Palini ed i cinque che li hanno raggiunti dopo, vale a dire Gomirato,Trentin, Di Corrado, Nechita e Boem. Ma il dente, ascesa posta ai meno 14 dal termine e' stata bevuta con quella semplicita' con cui si tiene il passo in pianura per la grande potenza degli attaccanti, poche le differenze, soltanto in due o tre hanno mollato, con il grosso che provava a chiudere in extremis, impresa impossibile ai ritmi convenuti, l'avvicinamento e' stato il miglior risultato.
Con questo bel successo Leonardi arriva al primo bersaglio 2010 e contemporaneamente va a indossare la maglia di leader della classifica generale e a punti. La sua compagine veneta poi viene a mostrarsi in questa realta' a marcare un ruolo nel ciclismo italiano che non puo' prescindere dalle potenzialita' di questa regione.

Errata-corrige concerning the previous little mistake on the names of two bikers annunced from radio race, on the lead we have Boem and Di Corrado, instead of others two names said before. this twenty bikers have advantage of 52" |
Km 90: | the group had reduced the gap to 40 seconds, now the gap return around 50". We registered again a very high speed when finish on this 2nd hour of race |
Km 102: | After two hours of the race the average is again 50,900 km/h. The twenty racers on top the race maintain a advantage of 1'10" |
Km 110: | When the race transit from Podenzano town the delay of the group is 2'10" |
Km 115: | The group reduce the gap at 1'35£ from 20 racers on top the race. The names of the racers are: Robingzon-Boaro-Graziato-Busato-Gomirato-Lupori-Sbaragli-Leonardi-Trentin-Manarelli-Rowsell-Mantovani-Banomi-Maggiore-Palini-Di Corrado-Nechita-Boem-Prodigioso e Torri. |
